The bereavement program at Merit is a key component of hospice service. Our bereavement coordinator identifies those that may need support after the loss of a loved one. The team will continue to follow for at least one year following a loss. Support may include educational pieces, phone calls, counseling and connectivity with community programs. No one grieves the same, Merit will be there for you as little or as much as needed.

Bereavement Bear Program

The talented volunteers of Merit Hospice create an outfit for a teddy bear made out of something special, such as a favorite shirt of a loved one. Our families appreciate the comfort and lasting memory the bears provide.
