RIGHT NOW MATTERS MOST
Merit Hospice was founded to provide patients and their loved ones the care needed to embrace the end of life’s journey.
OUR MISSION
We at Merit Hospice believe every patient deserves dignity during every phase of their journey. It is our mission to first and foremost honor our patients.
We believe our care team is the best at their respective roles, and we continuously work to cultivate the best within them.
Yes, this includes on-going training and education to stay current on evolving healthcare trends. But more importantly, we support and nurture our team emotionally and socially. We ensure their well-being so they can provide the best care possible for our patients and their families.
- Routine home care – care provided under the patient’s prescribed care plan, at home.
- General inpatient care – care provided at a contractual facility when patient needs can’t be met at home.
- Inpatient respite care – care provided at a contractual facility for up to five days, to give the family and primary caregiver a rest.
- Continuous home care – eight hours or more of care provided by a nurse to allow that patient to remain comfortably at home when qualifications are met.
We wish to thank Merit Hospice for the compassionate care given to Robert and our entire family. Dr. Gary Goff and Mary Thomas, CNA, who so faithfully came to the house to provide expert care, were a source of comfort to all of us. The hospice chaplain was very dedicated in his efforts to visit and spend time with us. Our family is grateful for all of the support.
